School District No. 43 (Coquitlam) is the third largest public school district in the Province of British Columbia, Canada, with 31,000 students in 70 schools. The school district encompasses the cities of Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, and the villages of Anmore and Belcarra. The total population of the Tri-Cities area is 218,000 spread over 200 square kilometers. We are located only 30 minutes from downtown Vancouver by car or Sky Train. Two major universities, Simon Fraser University and the University of British Columbia are both a short commute from Coquitlam. Secondary schools(high school)

Students in Grades 6 to 8 attend middle schools. Our 14 middle schools provide the transition from elementary to secondary school in an environment where students can explore options and prepare for the requirements and demands of secondary school.

• Current student has an average of 70% or better in all classes based on the last two years of transcripts. • Applicants must be under the age of 18. • TOEFL or IELTS scores are not required.

Program Start Dates

Our secondary schools (grades 9 - 12) operate on a semester schedule. Start dates are September and February. Our elementary and middle schools operate on a yearlong (September to June) schedule. If you would like to begin your studies mid-year then please select January 1st at this level.
