Diploma/Certificate programs with employment-oriented are run by colleges in Canada, attracting domestic and international students who want begin their professional career sooner. College programs tend to offer many paid internships for students to experience the industry of their choosing before officially entering the job market. The education system of Canadian colleges is more flexible than that of universities. College programs carry a minimum length of one year, with the maximum being three years. After completing all requiredcourses, students can earn a college diploma or certificate. After graduation, students can directly apply for a work permit to work in Canada or go to university for further academic development.

Transfer to the University
Most colleges in Canada have cooperative relationship with their universities. If the applicant strive to study in a university, but their grades do not yet meet university’s admission requirements, they can choose to enroll in a college that can transfer credits to a university, then transfer to a university after completing a portion of their college studies.
Good Employment Opportunities
Some of the college programs in Canada have Co-op programs. Application Timeline
Since the entrance time of Canadian colleges is relatively flexible, there are usually three available intakes in January, May and September, allowing year-round applications.
September (Fall) intake as an example:
∙Enroll in a Canadian language school, such as ILAC, in advance to study English through online courses, or prepare for official language tests such as IELTS/TOEFL/Duolingo, etc., to receive competitive language scores (most colleges offer dual enrollment).
∙From October to December, the applicant can choose the school and major, prepare the application materials and submit the application
∙From November to January of the next year, the applicant will receive the offer and admission letter from their college
∙From February to April of the next year, the applicant can prepare study permit materials and submit application
∙From May to August of the next year, if the applicant can successfully obtain the study permit, they can book the flight tickets to Canada, and contact the school for accommodation, and make preparations for the trip
∙In September of the following year, the applicant can leave for Canada to enroll in their studies
